My need to buy a mini PC was to live stream from 3rd party sites on my TV and also some light web browsing on my TV when my wife takes over our office monitor. Also, not to spend more than $200. And this mini-PC sparkles on all the breakthroughs set by me. I have tried other mini-PC in past but the experience was not good with them due to super slow speed.
Now talking about this product, everybody ought to know that this PC is usually not implied for overwhelming utilization, and over-clocking is constrained for the execution of transmission capacity utilization apps. I have used it fair for 10 days and my review is exclusively based on this brief encounter with the gadget. I will unquestionably overhaul this review in case my point of view changes within the future amid long run usage.
Pros:
- They are damn small in size. Almost like a thumb drive with model with size as 5 times more than pen drives. Super portable. you can literally carry these anywhere.
- High HD video including 4K run so smooth without any issues. Have tried YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and many online free content providers
- If not multi-tasking, then this mini-PC runs super fast
- No issue with web browsing too. I have parallelly used multi-tabs without any issue but playing multiple youtube windows together definitely prioritizes the one which is focused currently
- Decent configuration: Intel Celeron J4105 (up to 2.5GHz) Processor. Atom processors are slow and won't suggest to for those options
- Support 4K@60HZ, HDMI 2.0 output support for real ultra HD 4K resolution playback at 60Hz
- It has WIFI (both 2.4 and 5ghz) and Bluetooth connectivity too. My Keyboard/Mouse connected via Bluetooth works flawlessly
- Multiple I/O ports: 2 x USB 3.0 ports,1 x Gigabit Ethernet port,1 x Micro SD Card port,1 x HDMI port. You can never expect so many in mini PC's
- The device itself is very light
- Comes with a Kensington lock option as well
- Licensed version 64bit Windows 10 Professional is pre-installed
- PC performance is good enough for the processor and with 4 GB DDR3 RAM. Doesn't slows down the operation drastically while running the latest windows
- It doesn't overheat. I kept it on with video playing for 3+ hours and still went good
Cons:
- They have only one version that has 64 GB eMMC flash memory out of which half is already occupied by Windows. No hard drive included internally or even space to connect. They do support micro SD cards up to 512 GB though and that is the only storage option
- It does sometimes slows down if you try to do more multi-thread
Considering the cost, portability, and convenience in a room where you do not need to put through huge laptops/tablets, I profoundly suggest this product.
